An $11 Million artificial Christmas tree! Yeah, you heard it right. Isn’t it jaw-dropping stuff? Emirates Palace, an Abu Dhabi hotel recently displayed an artificial Christmas tree which was embellished with jewelry worth $11 million.

After revealing the tree, the hotel was trying to set a world record for the most-expensively decorated tree. This artificial Christmas tree makes use of pearls, diamond sets and other precious gems worth a whopping $11 million. The decorators had squandered this huge money and bought precious stones from a local jeweler to decorate this artificial tree.

However, it is been reported that the hotel is now regretting over its exuberant ambitions. The Guinness World Records which is located in London has confirmed that the hotel has applied for the record; however they haven’t verified the feat yet.

Emirates Palace said in a statement that the hotel is just a venue for displaying this artificial masterpiece. They added that the hotel had nothing to do with the decoration and the decoration wares are the property of the local jeweler.
